Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They wouldn't be any worse. Ideally a task force should be set up, people like Richard Sadlier. Ex-CEO of St. Pats, ex-Irish footballer, ex-LoI player and has a huge interest in football at all levels.
If ever there was someone less appropriate than Delaney it is Sadlier, possibly the only person in Irish football with a bigger ego and opinion of himself than Delaney.

I kinda get the feeling Sadlier resents the league in some vague way. He certainly doesn't appear overly fond of it. Maybe he's burned out because his career cross channel wasn't exactly stellar and he basically has to make a lot of his living here.

Personally don't think he'd be a good choice either

Regardless of what's happened to a few dozens of fans at some 3k LOI game, the guys who organised this couldn't expect Delaney to stop a legal protest on the biggest football stage we have, mostly through fear of backlash through the media. But hey, look what's happened. He did stop it and the media are all over it, far more so than the odd picture of a banner had the protest be allowed go ahead. And symphaty on the fans side as they weren't sneaky in the slightest about the protest. In hindsight its been a big success

All this ultimately over some tickets? Is that it? It shows naivety and ignorance by the group of the grip Delaney has on the FAI.

Sadlier never played in the LOI.

Delaney isn't going to leave/be removed form the job and everyone knows that. There are huge problems in Irish football but the Ticketing problems is one thing that could be sorted out with ease.
A few hours work would have a fair system in place, the FAI have access to such a system but aren't willing to implement it .

Did many of the regulars end up ticketless in Glasgow?

I think everbody that needed a ticket got a ticket. Thousands for sale from Scottish FA and scalpers were out in force before the game

No one would have gone ticketless in Glasgow ,SFA were selling tickets on general sale up to match day and plenty of people flogging tickets over there as well.

    Why do you ask ?

and silently behind the scenes, the price of the half season ticket shoots up.
the full season ticket (6 internationals+fai cup final) for the upper west/lansdowne road corner was 138yoyo.

for the 3 games left, seats in the same row are 160yoyo.

Yeah for the three big games. This is why a season ticket was bought not for the poxy games at the start. I have no issues with this price increase
