Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pirlo or Xavi?

Pirlo goes into the overrated pile for me, if he is being compared with Xavi. Brilliant player who had a nice renaissance at the end of his career after a couple of less than spectacular final years at Milan. But he needs to go into the Scholes/Kaka/Alonso tier, all sitting below Xavi, who was the best of his generation.

Two words I never thought i'd see together. **** me.

Xavi shades it but it's closer then people are saying imo. Pirlo was part(a big part) of a very succuessful AC Milan side, 2 CL titles(really should have been 3), multiple league titles, world cup winner. Yes he declined at Milan(like everyone else) but a move to Juve and he was revitalised. At 33-34 years old he was still dominating games.

Xavi is an utter genius and maybe the best midfield player i've ever seen but Pirlo isn't far behind him.

I voted Pirlo because of his majestic beard and winemaking skills.

also Iniesta > pirlo > Xavi

Probably 3 of the most intelligent footballers during the noughties, would not choose one above another, strange to see posters saying Xavi over Pirlo 'hands down'.
