    Just received my Bill for Local Property Tax (LPT) for 2015 :eek:

    Payable on or before 1/1/15 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    You mean 7/1/15, due to how the holidays fall. Or you can pay by installments during 2015.

    At least our local council reduced the tax by 15%.

    If you sign up for a Single debit authority they don't take the yearly amount until March

    There are various methods to pay this, chosen one method means you pay before then.
    I have mine deducted at source so it comes out of my pay in equal instalments over the year

    We also got a 15% reduction.

    In fairness if you pay via a single payment, your account will not be debited until March, which is plenty of time to anticipate it.

    don't be under any illusion, revenue are entitled under the legisation to take monies from any income you have, welfare, salary ect. you will be given 10 days notification prior to commencement of this..
