99% the Script at this stage.. Won't be 1d anyway

the script are well past theyre time at this stage, after the year they did the Aviva they were nowhere
new album isnt great and charted one single that is pretty mediocre.

Pity, would love to see U2 in Croker! Maybe they'll do Slane again.

Have very low expectations for this, would live it to be Rolling Stones but I'd say we can expect The Script with Coronas and Delerentos

Not far off - Script with Kodaline & Hozier

    What even?..
The Album went in straight at number one in Ireland and the uk(more than u2 did), and the second single only released last week.

They end their world tour in Asia in May, and with no Irish date, Croke Park makes sense..

U2 will do 2 nights at Croker in 2016..

Only one.night this year, to keep residents nside, next year give U2 both nights, after songs of experience has released

Would prefer U2 to do Slane.

Croke Park is visually impressive, but there are usually a lot of sound problems and restrictions which can really ruin a concert!

Well it seems it's the script so, another total non event. I would imagine since Hozier have opted to play the non capacity sufficient Olympia for one night only that they will be on the bill. Very poor!

It would seem by today's debased standard anybody could play major arenas and events in Ireland.

Just further proof that there is sadly nobody out there to take the place of yesterday's cream of the crop.

I'm not liking the lack of AC/DC action in this thread.

They'll be here - most likely Slane in the summer and an O2/Three Arena gig late in '15, early '16

Taylor Swift was the announcement for Hyde Park in London on June 27th (briefly)

For a brief while today the website of Hyde Park's British Summer Time was announcing that thoroughly-nice all-round good-girl Taylor Swift was to perform next year, on Saturday 27th June. It was swiftly removed though.

It's unclear why, or even if the announcement was genuine, although we suspect Taylor is likely to be (re)announced sometime in the not too distant future.

We'll bring you news when there is some.

    That is very true
deleted that as i thought it was fake, but it appears to be real.
it was on the British Summer Time festival site for about 20mins earlier, has been removed since though.

for people wondering, Taylor Swift was announced for Hyde Park in London on June 27th.

Cant see Taylor Swift even coming close to selling out Croker

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,539 ✭✭✭ghostdancer

yeah, me neither. the capacity for the Hyde Park gigs was 65,000 this year, and that's in London.
no way is she getting close to that, let alone over in Dublin, so can't see MCD putting her there, assuming she even plays Ireland.

Yeah, don't think it's Taylor. As far as I know that bst thing is like a big family festival with funfairs and a big pop headliner.

It's the script lads, think we just have to accept it.

it's not robbie , the artist is doing a Q&A in person at the press conference and robbie is in LA , it's the script more than likely

would absolutely love if someone random came out.

It just came to me: S CLUB 7 !!

No but seriously I think it is Taylor Swift....She just released a new Album and she is playing Hyde Park in June, so what would stop her playing Croke Park.
In fairness she is has a massive fanbase here.

If Taylor Swifts does an Irish "outdoor show" i can see a similiar turn out like Kanye West
