+1 no shame in pulling out in those conditions.. Hopefully it was a controlled decision rather than forced if it is the case.

nearly seen her run by camera there! Looked to be moving ok as well! Maybe she missed mats like Zakis??????

How can Gary O'Hanlon's running page post/share a link 2 hours ago on Facebook? Obviously it's not Gary himself who is posting. Who is crewing for him over there - they should be helping him at the finish line.

I'd reckon some lad sitting in a shop in Ashtown is an admin on the page and can post stuff there on his behalf. ;)

I think the trackers is broke. I just saw what was the 9th lady at 45k finish, yet only 2 are showing up as finished.

Edit #104 just finished, she was 2 ahead of orna at 35k, has no split since 40k

Thanks for that meno. I was starting to think things had gone badly wrong for her. Fingers and toes are all still crossed!

4:17, no idea of place. 34 minutes down on a tough Donadea course last february to give the conditions perspective.

Well done to Orna. She can be seen finishing at about 3:38:00 or so in the race video at
    http://lifeinaspire.qa/ArticleDetail.aspx?lang=en&id=78#.VFPfdvlXdMB

Managed to raise her arms at the finish, didn't collapse and might even have had a smile on her face. Magnificent achievement to finish it.

One of the rare moments when simply finishing can be considered a great achievement. Some going to grind it out in conditions like that which are not intended for running in. 4:17 is also a very impressive time in those conditions. Hope she can source a beer out there to celebrate.
