Repeating Leaving Cert maths?

Hi folks, just curious about how this process works, I'm hoping to repeat my leaving cert maths do I have to wait until June to do it? How does the process work? Thanks

You apply to the State Examinations Commission in January as an external student and you can either pick your local school to sit the exam in in June or go to a special centre (all in Dublin).

Is the only option to sit it in June then? I can't do an equivelency exam or anything? Was hoping to go to uni next September but this will throw a spanner in the works.

The exam is only available once a year in June. You could investigate if the Matriculation exams are still a possibility with the universities. I don't know if they are. They would also be once a year I think.

Some universities and IOT's do run special maths exams that applicants to certain courses can do. If you don't get the LC grade in Maths then you can use the college exam to make up the maths requirement but only for that specific college/course. It wont give you any more points and you may also have to meet the other specific entry requirements.
