Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Kolarov :(

Since Ballotelli can't play today, Sky have turned their torches to Fellaini.

    3-1 United

Rooney and a double from Van Persie with Aguero scoring for City.

Mad how the view on him has changed so much in a matter of a few games. A few weeks ago no one wanted him near the team now people are saying how much his physicality is needed in the team.

Nice to see him go on a good run, hopefully he can continue it today. I may not be his biggest fan but he didn't deserve the sort of treatment he was getting.

We'll until he does sonething bad. I hope he has his elbows oiled up.

  • Kolarov :(

Limping off the pitch heavily after warmup

Injured in warm up. Looks like Clichy to replace him

Anxiety problems, he saw Fellaini putting thumb tacks in his elbows and is terrified of Valencia hitting the ball off him.

    Squeaky bum time

Either United win by one goal or City hammer us again

Utd win today, 2-1 i reckon.

Also thought Clichy was a better defender than Kolarov, only makes Januzaj job harder

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

Rojo moved a bit early, but why was Januzaj just standing stationary a good yard (at least) offside there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

I'd like to see a Utd win today for obvious reasons.

My only guess is no one is gonna mark when he is offside. If he stays where he is and there is no defender, if the ball comes back to him, he's free to take a shot.

Clichy is massively overrated - got the baby gloves treatment that so many young Arsenal players do (though it was far worse when he was there than now) and had less if a spotlight on him at City for the first few years there. He's a decent player, but not at all great prone to some awful errors and decisions.

But sure then the flag goes up, even if say Rojo stayed inside and headed it down to him. Just a weird thing to see, really.

    How come Raf ain't playing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

Rooney plays too deep at times he should be letting Blind do that

If the ball is headed out or whatever then it's a new phase of play isn't it?

I could be wrong bit I think in that instance it would be too close together to be considered a whole new phase.

Januzaj HAS to do better than that shot just now.

    Zero players from Manchester playing.

I knew it was low but didn't know it was actually none.

Great knock down by Van Persie, should have tested the keeper really.

Unusual from a United POV, not so much from a City one alright

Hopefully RVP figures that out. He should leave it to Fellaini and set himself up for the second ball.

Gaz Neville is spot on, very clever for LVG to play 3v2 in center mid, he knows Yaya is not at the races as of late and we can hurt them in there, quiet fancy Utd today!

    50/50 game so far

Lovely play from Blind there. Looking good in midfield.

It's not like we've had to change anything to play 3v2. We've played all season with three in the middle. It has surprised me that City have stuck with two in the middle.
