Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hope Fellani remembers that if he ever goes down easy........

Hate those ones. Kick in the Achilles is always a stinger.

Haha, I only get why you laughing, assume its the red?

They tend to have far, far better on field relations with the refs than football players. Might have something to do with being able to take aggression out on the pitch more easily, but it is what it is.

Also ref's tend not to be as awful as Michael Oliver has been today.

Still think Hart should be off too. You can't do that to a referee. But Smalling was braindead there

Wonder if a city player will get booked today

    What were United at there?

    A certain penalty denied.

Januzaj off and McNair on please. Would prefer Blind in at CB instead of Fellaini!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,831 ✭✭✭Peanut Butter Jelly

Not really losing much with Jan going off. Nice to see Carrick back.

    Penalty all day.

Not sure what Fellani was moaning about. It was a clumsy challenge

Seen those given...bad form not stopping play straight away as well after City did earlier

They should have had a pen there!

Was a pen, thought so day 1 even before the replay but he couldn't give it, there would be murder!

    That's a nailed on penalty!

Hart was stupid but nothing malicious about it. It's not as if he actually nutted him.

No because you said his first was never a yellow. Thats what I was laughing at

Fair enough, I still think its soft, especially after the inconsistency by the ref!

    Has Sky even mentioned it?

Januzaj off, should never have started - Carrick on. Fellaini reverting to clunsy/dirty play, Gould have been a penalty.

  • Do well now to get to 0-0 half time

Shaw has looked very poor today. United have been countered frequently today down his right wing and he's been missing

You think that kind of contact is conducive to a fall in the manner he did?

Navas teaching Shaw a lesson today

You never get them penalty decisions when you have your back to the goal like that.

The ref stopped play there, no?

Yeah, but he must have touched?

It is the whole respect for the Ref thing, he ran a long way to do that.

You should have to play until the whistle is blown. Putting the ball out really annoys me!

But of course not, it's ENGLANDS NUMBER ONE after all.

Did show a good 5 replays of the non penalty, mind.

Regarding Smallings first yellow, did Super Mario not get away with the exact same thing yesterday?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,515 ✭✭✭tupac_healy

Well at least Januzaj is off! Was playing very poorly....

Think that loan offer to Ajax might do him the world of good

I'd call it threatening behaviour anyway. If I did it I a ref I'd expect a red. Paully put a good picture of it up

Refs always give a yellow for it. It was a stupid thing to do.

Hardly his fault. We're constantly giving away the ball in the final third as we're pressing up the field.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,383 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

Doesn't matter anyway, City are going to murder United in the 2nd half.

I'd have no problem with it being a yellow (same as any player who roars into any refs face) but a red would have been OTT for it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Unbelievable stupidity from Smalling, definitely red and United should fine him for being such an idiot.

If it was another player he'd definite ly get a card I'd say

Balotelli did indeed block a kick out but I think because Smalling was lifting his feet to try and block it was different. I think Balotelli just stop here and keeper kicked it at him

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Now that looked like a penalty/red to me.

Fair enough. Agree its stupid, but could just talk to him especially after not booking Zab. Ref has been a bit shít!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

That was a pen. Oilver bottled that. Red card as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,949 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    That could have been given

Navas could've put Aguero through twice but he just dithers.

also, blatant red. there's simply no argument.

Two blatant penos for City not given too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,502 ✭✭✭✭fullstop

United very lucky to be going in level, could easily have been 2 pens

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭LightningBlue

Ref has had a nightmare so far. Very inconsistent.

Only thing he's got right is the Smalling red.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,515 ✭✭✭tupac_healy

Well, us Utd fans can't really complain about the ref anymore.....

    That's for sure!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,369 ✭✭✭LostBoy101

We're very lucky not to concede two penos so far.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 4,719 ✭✭✭dundalkfc10

Utd blessed, should be down to 9 and 2 pens should be given

Hart should be off too though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,866 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Rojo got the ball there. City players putting a hell of a lot of pressure as always on the ref.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,629 ✭✭✭me89

Has to be a pen and red card??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,681 ✭✭✭ColeTrain

    Should have been a penaltly

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,928 ✭✭✭dubmick

    Ref is having a nightmare
