Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where's the build-up, the form guide, the prosaic positing of each team's form and ambitions for the season? I suppose you have said it all though.. expect goals..

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,353 ✭✭✭MR NINE

I honestly think itll be a dull low scoring affair. Liverpool to struggle again in attack and obviously concede at least one goal, probably from a set piece. 1-1.

We need to drop Vernon Anita for this one, lad is a complete liability and will we completely overturned by Gerrard and Henderson.

Has 4-3 written all over it.

    In the offside count.

Has more goals in it than any other Premier League fixture this one so obviously expecting a defensive masterclass tomorrow.

2 0 liverpool Mario to score.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,098 ✭✭✭MonkeyTennis

I can see this one kicking off at 12.45

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,538 ✭✭✭✭retalivity

Mario to start up front on his own, supported by Markovic for unknown bizarre reasons
Alain Depardieu to build on the last 3 results and provide a tactical masterclass in hoofing
Michael Owen to simultaneously bore the sh1te and infuriate both Newcastle & Liverpool fans
A late scrappy goal to finish 1-1 and everyone is unhappy

Normally a good Liverpool side would have no worries against the Geordies but after the recent form of both sides, its still going to be a Liverpool win.

    Gerrard with the decisive goal.

    No effort in the OP.

Think it needs team badges or something.

Saw a rumored team on Twatter today.

Mig, Johnson, Lovern, Skrtel, Moreno, Gerrard, Hendo, Coutinho, Sterling, Lallana, Balotelli.

If it is that team then i see nothing less than a home win.

    Liverpool love scoring against Newcastle

    2-4

The only change I would make from the team that beat Swansea is Borini for Lambert.

    2-2.

I reckon we will see at least two goals in this game in each half at each end of the pitch.

Expect fireworks,it's Halloween time and Balotelli is in town.

Liverpool to struggle for a score draw

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,366 ✭✭✭✭8-10

Was really disappointed we didn't get the win in this fixture last year with Newcastle down to 10 men. Easy win today, 2 or 3-0 to Pool

I was hoping Bornini would get a chance after his energy in the midweek game

Think he deserved it. No Lallana either?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,538 ✭✭✭✭retalivity

Doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results =

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

Ok so Lallana and Borini to be the impact subs in this game. Really we could have started with them...both are full of energy and that would motivate the team I think

I'm ready for another crap performance with Rodgers not having a clue how to change things around. 2-0 to Newcastle

He has been ok since his return from injury.

    Ugh Johnson.

Some of the criticism is over the top for me. He is still a great option going forward.

    Newcastle XI

Krul, Janmaat, S. Taylor, Coloccini, Dummett, Sissoko, Abeid, Colback, Obertan, Cisse, Ameobi.

Subs Taylor, Gouffran, Aarons, Perez Guetierrez, Haidara, Cabella, Elliot

He's not, rarely even attempts a cross. He either cuts in to shoot on his left, dragging it wide to the right, or he stops and turns back when he reaches a crossing position.

I really don't see it. He's always getting caught out of position when he does get forward and when he does have possession, he's cutting inside into danger and more often than not losing the ball.

I'm attempting the impossible today...I'm going on a protest march so I'm recording the game and I'm gonna try to avoid the score until I'm home at about 4 and I'll watch it then. I don't fancy my chances much but we'll see. I'll let ye know.

Why would we cross? It's not like we have a forward to attack a cross with a header. We rely on working the ball into shooting positions.

Rodgers is really starting to get on my tits now. Borini deserved a start.

I'd rather have the ball go into the box than have our fullbacks shooting from outside it. The goal midweek came from our striker attacking a cross.

Has Lallana been injured i am surprised he is not first choice yet.
