    Hi don't know if the is the right place to ask but am wondering what does an engineer,architect cost,wev just received a bill from our man who is both engineer and architect,we are building a house so he has done levels and all that sort of stuff ,our plans are just gone in to council and the bill seems a bit big as I no this will be the first of many bills from him

    Foolishly we never discussed prices before hand as he is a friend of the family, cost so far is 3000 euro is this expensive considering he is both architect and engineer? I thought it was

    So design & planning fee was 3k including vat, fixed costs & expenses. That's a good price.

    Now. Take a step back and get a break down of who's is doin what for what fee moving forward. Take control!
