Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. I was going to say I liked that shirt just to be contrary but I can't do it, it's horrifyingly putrid.

    Another draw.

But to be fair they did hold Chelsea too.

Huge two points dropped. Some positives at least but when the biggest negative is your manager it's a big worry.

    Dissapointing.

Awful once again. 4th clean sheet is a tiny consolation.

It's telling that our best 2 players recently have been Lucas and Toure who were often cited as our worst players last season. I don't think it's much to do with their standard of play, but that they fit far better into a team who is not able to play with the urgency and pace that we were last season. If we suddenly started to play like last season (not going to happen) they would looked well off the pace again I reckon, but the way we are playing now they are needed.

Did Borini ride Rodgers' daughter or what?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,071 ✭✭✭Milkers

To strike a note of positivity, Lucas and Toure are making the defence much more solid.

Is Skrtel the most brain dead footballer in the Premier League?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,901 ✭✭✭Raif Severance

Why is BR so Aversed to playing 2 Strikers? Specially, when we played that way, almost Exclusively last Season.

All the other Teams knows that we have only 1 Outlet in Raheem, and they are going to send 2 to Contain him.

Sunderland had an easy time Defending us, because we couldn't Pull them Out-of-Shape.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,379 ✭✭✭hefferboi

Also, Markovic looked impressive when he came on. Some pace on him.

    After Glen Johnson, perhaps.

That seems harsh. Enrique really isn't that bad

Love to know how many times we've played well with one striker up front under Rodgers. Could probably count it on one hand but he still persists with it week in week out.

It's so frustrating to watch us.

It's essential that we bring in a DM and ST in January. If we can bring in some top quality in those positions there would be a huge difference in our performances.

Lambert offered nothing today except a static point to aim at. No way Balotelli offers less as far as I'm concerned.

Henderson as future captain and one of the first names on the team sheet for the next 5+ years is a frightening prospect.

20m on an impact sub is not what I envisaged for this young lad. Rodgers has made a total mare of this.

Markovic did not look impressive either. That's very much in the 'straw clutching' territory.

I think Rodgers put the hand on Borini (as Rodgers does) but Borini got the wrong idea. Extremely awkward.

I like Rickie Lambert as a bench option but having him as your main striker week in week out is painful. He was like a large traffic bollard up front today. Completely immobile and everyone moving around him.

Two goals and two assists in four games for Richie, isn't it?

He has offered more. It isn't even up for debate.

Give him time, talent is there. Not his fault the price tag was so high. 20m is shocking business.

Surely we will buy a striker in January. Lambert up front next week vs Man Utd could be painful to watch.

Simply have to go out and bring in a top quality striker in January. More of a priority than replacing any other position on the pitch including Mignolet.

During the Summer I hated the thought of spending 20 million on Bony. Id bloody well take now I'll tell you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

If we want to have even a very outside chance of top 4, we need to sign a top striker in Jan.

Next weeks game is actually looking like a must win or top 4 is gone tbh.

Bad news when you can only muster 2 shots on target at home against anybody never mind sunderland, coutinho and lallana were poor, hendo and sterling were only handy, lucas and toure had great games though tbf, but everyone ahead of them on the pitch were piss poor tbf, we play anything like that on tue night and we are gone

I just do not see where a strong performance is going to come from these days. If Basel cone to shut up shop, they will succeed.

True. The Shankly statue outside the stadium offers more than Balotelli.

I listened to the game on the radio while on the train and I have to say it sounded utterly depressing.

It seems other than Lucas and Toure playing their normal game none of the other players can even manage to play at a normal standard.

The manager and coaches don't seem to have any answers at the moment and holding out hope for Sturridge to be the answer is so wrong.

The club wasted £120m on summer transfers I don't think anyone can argure that point now.

FSG have big decisions to make soon RE; the coaching staff and transfer budget.

It's go all in the these coaches or fold and look to play another hand.
