Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Delighted with the draw, will make for a much easier final.

Much better performance tonight but you'd have to expect that.

Markoviec played well but I'd worry about his defensive capabilities if the same team and system lines out Sunday. Both of their big chances in the first half came down his side.

    At last some positives though.

A cup match but nevertheless has to be positives from tonight.

Faster pace, Sterling scoring, and Lalanna and Markovich looked good.

Still can't defend and Rodgers has to rethink the keeper situation.

He may have wanted to make a point and shake Mignolet out of a sense of complacency but Jones is not really good enough to keep him out of the team.

I thought markovic was awful , a few nice easy passes but was slow and pedestrian and no willingness to break . 2nd half is all i saw though

He was average at best in the second half, he did have a good first half though, some nice moves, took his goal well and assisted the assist for Sterlings first!

He's got to be played off the striker, he can't defend worth a damn no point in asking him to.

Cool ,but i didn't think so but I'm in a minority so i'll accept it . But i didnt notice him as a attacking threat at all in the 2nd half

Almost called it, said 1-4 and said Alesso would score.

We're gonna win at the weekend lads, 3-2.

Was that Richard ? I mean SKY did not show the all premier league game which was a bigger route than the Liverpool game so he went to watch that match.

First time since the Spurs game that i've had Sky Sports in the gaff - getting it for xmas - defo no coincidence that we won now. I'll keep it forever if we win the next 4 games! My apologies for the results since then.

Don't mind the draw. Had City three years ago. We've had a very kind draw to this point. Two legs? Bring it ****ing on imo.

Happy to see rodgers at least try do so something about our slump, early days with it but the 343 seems to have us playing better offensively as we created a good few chances the last 2 games we used it. Don't think a lucas-gerrard midfield is ideal nor is hendo playing as a wingback but at least he is not stubbornly persisting with that god awful 4231.
Id like to see migs come back in (jones has been awful) keep sakho-toure-skrtel in defence and see how we go. Get Lallana/markovic and sterling playing as much as possible too.

Shame that Sterling missed his hat trick chance, it would of been awesome for him

but I suppose two goals will do.

    For Arsenal I would go

    Mignolet
    ----Toure----Skrtel----Sakho
    Henderson--Gerrard--Lallana/Can--Moreno
    Coutinho
    Markovic----Sterling--

    Yikes!

Lucas has to start that game at the base of midfield.

    Someone
    Manquillo-Toure--Sakho--Moreno
    <-Can---Lucas->
    Hendo
    Lallana
    Markovic----Sterling

I would start Lucas too but since Rodgers won't drop Gerrard I wouldn't pick Lucas. Both shouldn't start imo.

Great to see Sakho getting some game time - hope it wasn't a shop window job. Precise positive passing evident again but looked a tad slow. Needs a run now to get up to speed - could be a rock for this team.

I guess Sterling is our best attacking outlet and the sooner Rodgers builds the team to facilitate that the better.

    It was Bournemouth, lads....

If Liverpool didn't beat Bournemouth it would have been laughable. Normal service will resume on the weekend against Arsenal - the squad are ****e.

We have our Azog the defiler though or rather Skrtel the Grappler

They are still top of their leauge. Don't be disrespecting teams or they will punish you.
You can't just walk onto a pitch and expect to win.

I think Lovern suffered a case of Lallanalitis and broke his ribs. Could be wrong, could have been a baboon heart complication.

3rd game in 8 days, Gerrard quite likely not to start, come on in 2nd half in advanced position imo.

Away win, relatively convincing fashion too, not to be sneered at, B'th are no Leicester admittedly

We're talking about a Championship team here and people are so hopelessly desperate for any kind of win they're treating this like Liverpool just beat Arsenal...
