Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    He shouldn't.

    Toure deserves his chance.

Lucas deserves to stay in too. Back 4 needs protection.

Back 4 could do with some help from behind too. Mignolet should be dropped, give Jones a chance. At least he can kick a ball.

Wisdom having a very competent half for West Brom at right back. Welbeck and Sanchez kept nicely in his pocket.

Yep,he's doing very well so far.

I was taking the piss about selling the rights to buy Messi but I believe that its got to be done to keep up with the big boys.

Sure look at Real, sold their soul ( for some literally) just to appease Abu Dhabi bank. Removed the cross from the top of their crest.

Gets them bazillions of the euros

    :pac:

    Didn't know that

He's is doing a better than last week thats for sure Hazard gave him a footballing lesson then.

Hopefully it shows he is learning and thats what the loan system is for.

Yes indeed, far too competent at defending and absolutely no desire to pass the ball needlessly to the opposition or to switch off at set pieces. He wont be getting a look-in with us again.

Maybe Liverpool should add the cross to the crest and get some sponsorship from the Vatican. #controversial

If it's naming rights for a stand etc, that fine. But Anfield should always be Anfield. Once you lose that, you start losing the impact of the club. If they change the name to a sponsor, you can take down the This Is Anfield sign and stop quoting Shankly.

    Couldn't do that.

We'd have to rename the KOP to the POK, because everyone "knows" KOP stands for King over Pope.

    /sarcasm

A few weeks ago I couldn't watch the Newcastle game live so I recorded it,turned off my phone, avoided the radio and managed to make it through the day unaware of the score. Watched it later and wanted to die tbh.

Anyway...similar situation today...should I do it? My heart isn't really in it.

If we have to go through it you have to go through it.

These sh*te performances started when you stopped going to the pub anyway.

Mignolet, Johnson, Enrique, Skrtel, Toure, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling, Lambert

subs v Stoke: Jones, Lovren, Moreno, Lallana, Gerrard, Markovic, Can

    Johnson somehow escapes the axe.

    RIP Fabio Borini's Liverpool career.

    Not even on the bench.

No lallana and can again. Pretty happy otherwise

    If only Moreno was right-footed...

I really don't understand the treatment of Lallana, I know he hasn't been outstanding or anything but anytime he's played he's looked our most dangerous attacking player. So strange, especially after chasing him all Summer for crazy amount of money.

    Sigh.

The best thing about Gerrard not playing is it saves us from those f*cking obligatory standard 'Gerrard is sh!te' posts as if he's the problem.

5 summer signings + Gerrard on the bench

All 5 signings cost a combined 86 million, if they're only good enough for the bench why wasn't a massive outlay on a striker made??

    Is there fitness doubts??

He rarely played 90 mins for Southampton.

We new that before we paid £25m for him.

So you have to ask why waste £25m on a player that is going to sit on the bench.

Lallana wasn't bought for the future he was bought for the now!

It is bizarre. He made his signing a priority and everyone was gutted that he'd miss the start of the season. Everyone expected we'd kick on when he started regularly but it hadn't worked out for him yet. Hasn't been great for us but definitely hasn't been given a decent run.

    about time rodgers dropped gerrard!

Watching Arsenal here and they've been desperately poor yet go into the top 4 on the back of this result. Any team that develops any consistency will make the top 4. We look a long way off that though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,363 ✭✭✭JohnDaniels

Arsenal winning makes this a must win game for Liverpool. Somehow we are only 3 points off them before kickoffs today. They have always been the bench mark for top 4 so need to keep pace with them to at least still give us an outside chance of making it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,890 ✭✭✭✭klose

One summer signing starting today and at that he was our supposed 3rd choice striker bought for buttons, have to wonder whats going on in the club regarding the transfer comitee. Stinks of ****ty politics

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,504 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

    1-0 Liverpool.
    Stoppage time winner from Kolo.

I've never been more certain of anything in my life.

I can accept a few of them but no Moreno or Lallana just seems ridiculous to me.
