Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Remote app and iOS 8

    Has anyone else had problems with Apple's Remote app for iPhone since upgrading to iOS 8? The app frequently doesn't display the Apple TV at all and several quits and restarts are often needed. Then when waking the phone to pause a film/tv show, the app freezes or is unresponsive. It started on iOS 8 and continues on 8.1 on my iPhone 5S.

    I presume Apple will update the app for iOS 8, but it's probably not high on their list of priorities.

    Very frustrating for a frequent user of Apple TV...

    I haven't had an issues with it on my 5S.
    Maybe try removing and installing it again?

    Yeah I deleted the app and re-downloaded it and it's improved, but still seems shaky, compared to its performance in iOS 7.

    I presume Apple will get around to updating it for iOS 8 at some stage in the (near?) future...

    OP can I add something here. Did you also update your Apple TV. The reason I ask is i have seen the issue myself and found that the issue is actually with the ATV not waking up once asleep. The workaround is to change the setting to never go asleep. I have done this on both my ATV and havent had any problems since.

    Pretty sure the Apple TV is up to date. My issue is that when waking my phone from sleep, the Remote app is sluggish in response or can't find the AppleTV at all.

    The re-download improved things, but it still seems fragile.
