Shoes/ Boots.....

    Hi guys

Have always been very simple when it comes to shoes, I look for value and well having thought about it has not worked out that well for me:(

I have no interest in driving at all, and walk everywhere, love it to be honest. Normally that would be overall 80 minutes coming and going, and walking out and about during the day for usual stuff.

I want a pair of shoes that is stylish enough I can get away with wearing at work. dates out and about but also it needs to be able to last more than a fw months with my daily walking.

So should I go for something like this?

    http://www.pediwear.co.uk/loake/products/14.php

    or

The above wouldn't stick out to much if I was out and about?

    :o

    advice appreciated. :o

Depends on what you wear to work. If you wear a suit, then you need proper shoes. Nothing gets my goat up more than seeing guys in suits and running shoes. Come on, what is this, Working Girl in the 80s?? :) There's plenty of options out there for good, comfortable shoes you can walk in.

From the same website I've bought a few pairs of Grenson and I heartily recommend them. They are so comfortable, you could walk all day in them. I've had the Noble and Kirk ranges, soft leather, very sturdy.

If you wear casual shoes, then you have more options. However I wouldn't go for the mountain boots that you've posted there. Mostly because I don't like them, but also because you could get something infinitely nicer. You won't get anywhere on dates wearing them! :-D (jk). You should plan to have more than one pair of shoes / boots anyway. One pair isn't enough. If you had your sturdy work shoes, then decent boots, you could then get something like these from Pretty Green:

I have these and they are super comfy. Won't do you much good in the winter but they could be for socialising, or going to the movies or something where you won't be walking as much.

I find Vans very comfortable to walk in too, though they are flat so you'd want to put an insole in:

    Hope that helps.

    From that website

what do you think of these?

Not cheap, but crazily expensive, look stylish and have some life in them?

I wouldn't class €92 euros as "crazily expensive", but yeah they're nice. I'd personally go with the dark brown, as they'll go with jeans or chinos better than black will.

Ah I forgot to type "not" oops.:o

Yeah 92 pound, is not cheap, but if they last long and are comfortable then I think I will go for them. I would probably go for black as they can hide stains better.:p

One final thing, how long would they take to arrive when ordering online?

Depends really. I ordered online and got them in a week I think it was. 5 working days or something.

You can get suede protectors to help against stains. Anyway, personal choice.

There are other brands that do similar shoes for probably less, like Clarks. But Pretty Green is a 'pretty' cool brand and the stuff is well made. I've had this one black t shirt from there for about 3 years and it is still like new.

Only problem I have now is a lot of the tops / shirts / tees are too short.
