Anyone know if there is any issues involved in using the likes of gift vouchers from a named shop or shopping centre to use in a promotion? Thinking of running an advertising campaign in a local newspaper to attract new business and if they sign up they get a voucher from somewhere like Tesco or the local shopping centre. The name of the shop/centre would be mentioned in the ad. Tried getting onto Tesco but on hold for ages and been passed around a uk call centre

Well Tesco can't really complain as they take vouchers from Dunnes/Supervalu etc already. The only concern maybe them objecting to you using their names in the advert might be worth posting in the legal forum to see what they think.

Absolutely no issue on this. Once you buy them they are yours to do with as you like, advertise/sell/swop/give away. Forget about it!

why give a voucher you have to pay full price for? Better and easier to give money off. Better for you to give a voucher for a return visit to your store.

Or get with another local retailer and see if you can get a discount offering their vouchers - e.g. a restaurant may give you 30% off lunch or dinner voucher - you won't get a cent off tesco
