Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am heading away for a couple of days later in the month but will arrive back in Dublin Airport at approx 9.45pm on Tuesday 25th November.

I live in Cavan and I know from experience (when I have flown back into Dublin Airport after been away) that it can be a challenge trying to get the 30 from the Airport to Cavan (or from Cavan to the Airport) as usually there is a huge q and priority it given to those travelling to and from Donegal. More often that not I have had to either get the 109A or go into town and get the 109 home.

However this is not an option this time around as the last 109 that goes to Cavan leaves Busarus at 10.30. I doubt I would make it into town for that bus so I am hoping to get the 30 that gets to the Airport at 10.20.

I was just wondering if anybody has ever gotten the 30 at that particular time and could tell me if it is usually busy or would there be seats available.

    Thanks.

    hi Gazzer,

I'm not sure about the 10.20pm number 30 service from the airport, but the midnight 30 bus from Bus Aras that picks up at the airport at 12.20am, always has seats available.

But if the 10.20pm Donegal bus from the airport was full, it might be possible to connect in Kells, with the 109 that leaves Bus Aras at 10.30pm, if you were to get to Kells on the 10.20pm 109A?

The reason I say this is because I often notice that the 109 that leaves Bus Aras at 11.30pm regularly gets to Navan and Kells around the same time as the 109A that leaves the airport at 11.20pm.

Often the 11.20pm 109A passes out the 11.30pm 109 at the Tara na Rí pub, a few miles before Navan, for example if there is someone getting off the 109 at the bus stop at the Tara na Rí pub. So it may be possible that if you get the 109A at 10.20pm, that you could make it to Kells before the 10.30pm 109 going to Cavan arrives in Kells.
