    Hi frank gallagher

Eircom no longer arrange internal wiring and do not offer a service to move the socket the modem would be connected to. This is something you will need to chase up with an electrician.

    Thanks
    Al

How'r'ya Frank! Why are you looking to move the modem?

If it's because you want to use the connection at the other side of the house, would ya be willing to try homeplugs?

    How they work; http://support.eircom.net/homeplug/

    Cheap Homeplugs through eircom; http://www.eircom.net/accessories/homeplugs/homeplugs/plug2/
    They're actually a decent brand.

eircom do move modems but there is a charge of €150

if it is a wifi issue i'd recommend you buy a good wireless router with an rj45 wan port and bridge the f1000 to it and use your good quality router to do what you need

Al sorry for jumping in but if I pm you my account no can you arrange to have this particular home plug kit sent out to me. Don't tell me to contact 1901 because that's what I did on two occasions and on both occasions the wrong item was sent out to me. The first is sent back and the second will be going back in the next day or two. The last customer service agent I spoke to told me that there is a difficulty for them picking the right item off the system they use and that's why I got the wrong ones. He suggested that I could buy it on the website but I cast see that option. Maybe you can help me because at this stage I've given up on trying to buy it.

    Hi pbarr

Can you send me a PM with the Phone no and I will check Tech Support Notes on this. Certainly if they have already promised to send these out to you and they have not been received I will arrange that they be resent. If you can just confirm the Name, correct address and a Mobile Contact no. as well that would be great.

    thanks
    Colm
