Hi just wondering if someone could help me to make a list of all the new routes out of Dublin for next year.

    So far I have:
Ethiopian Airlines - Addis Ababa, Los Angeles
    Aer Lingus L/H - Washington-Dulles (3rd Daily DUB-JFK in the Summer)
Aer Lingus Regional - Leeds Bradford, East Midlands, Doncaster, Newquay
Aer Lingus S/H - Nantes, Agadir(previously a winter only route)
    Ryanair - Copenhagen, Lublin.
    Vueling - Barcelona
    SAS - Gothenberg
    WOW air - Reykjavik
    Finnair - Helsinki
    United - Chicago
    Transavia -Paris
    Europe Airpost - Halifax, Paris;
    Swiss - Geneva
    Flybe - Cardiff, Bournemouth

22 new routes as of March 5th

Have Ryanair not launched any new routes out of Dublin for 2015?

    Have I missed any routes?

I'd expect CAX and LPL from EI regional in the next while. Stobart playtoy and last obvious hole / BLK feed replacement

IAG's Vueling launching BCN-DUB from 03/04/15 - Service increases during peak periods to up to six weekly. The carrier will also operate a total of 10 weekly flights between BCN-DUB-BCN between 20/12/14->04/01/15 for the Christmas/New Year period.

SAS also launching a weekly GOT-DUB link from 04/04/15, increasing to 3 weekly during peak season.

Why would you never fly with FR?

Please don't let this thread descend into another pro-vs-anti Ryanair debate and could we for once stick on the topic of new routes?

People have different reasons for choosing airlines - we're all different. I wouldn't even start that discussion again - it has ruined many threads here.

I just see a possible Dublin to Carlisle route mentioned there? I've seen speculation in the English press about such a route but will it become a reality?

What's new about Exeter? There's been Flybe flights to/from EXT for years.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

I don't keep tabs on Flybe's Dublin ops, I hadn't noticed the EXT flights before though...

Exeter has been around since the days of Jersey European.

    It's their original Dublin route.

Am I right in thinking that Aer Lingus also launched Nantes?

Finnair to Helsinki is surely a seasonal route as opposed to a new one?

Not a new route but Delta replacing 767-300 to Altlanta with an A330-200 from the 28th of March 2015

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,712 ✭✭✭roundymac

Delta just placed an order with Airbus for 25 A350-900 and 25 A330 neo to replace their older Boeing aircraft. They will use them on their medium haul routes, I presume Dublin will fall into that catogory.

This split was quite a shock when it was announced. The assumption was that DL would go with A350/B787 mix. A350/A330neo split is better for DL as they can have combined pilot/flight attendant pool for both fleets. DL have stated that the A350 will serve Trans-Pac and A330neo will serve Trans-Atlantic.

So yes we will see DL replace their B767 and A330 on the DUB route with the A330neo.

United Airlines have added a seasonal service to Chicago

    "Chicago to Dublin

Flight 152 will depart United's Chicago hub at O'Hare International Airport daily at 6:05 p.m., arriving in Dublin at 7:35 a.m. the following day (all times local). On the return, flight 153 will depart Dublin Airport daily at 9:50 a.m., arriving in Chicago at 12:15 p.m. the same day. Flight times will be seven hours 30 minutes eastbound and eight hours 25 minutes westbound.

The flights will operate using Boeing 757-200 aircraft with a total of 169 seats – 16 flat-bed seats in United BusinessFirst and 153 in United Economy, including 45 Economy Plus seats.

Chicago O'Hare will be the third United hub with nonstop service to Dublin, after New York/Newark and Washington Dulles.

The Chicago-Dublin service will operate seasonally from June 4, 2015 through Aug. 17, 2015."

Can the 1st post be updated to reflect the new routes please.

I heard about the United route last week but didn't see it mentioned anywhere so I didn't think it was true.
