Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Manchester City
    01 Hart
    05 Zabaleta
    04 Kompany
    26 Demichelis
    22 Clichy
    15 Jesús Navas
    06 Fernando
    42 Y Touré
    07 Milner
    16 Agüero
    35 Jovetic

    CSKA Moscow
    35 Akinfeev
    02 Figueira Fernandes
    24 Berezoutski
    04 Ignashevitch
    42 Schennikov
    18 Musa
    03 Wernbloom
    66 Natcho
    10 Dzagoev
    25 Alekseevich Eremenko
    88 Doumbia

Anything less than a win will be a disappointment. Disappointed Fernandinho still doesn't start, but Fernando has been working well while Fernandinho's been out of favour.

    2-0 City

Its because people are accusing him of being older than he is, ala etoo doing the old man celebration.

At least we can say categorically that we're outsinging the opposition fans tonight :)

    Go on Yaya!!

    Great free kick.

Never been impressed with Navas's finishing. The amount of times he blasts it over the bar is ridiculous.

You have to blast it to score from a narrow angle....and wingers are often going to get their chances from a narrow angle. Less of the goal to aim at so its about hitting it hard before the keeper can react. Means you are going to miss more.

He does tend to miss by a lot more than say Nasri though. I'd agree with stiffler, it's pretty poor

Should have been 2 for CSKA.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

Doumbia should have scored there. He even could have laid it off to a teammate for a tap in.

    Let off for City.

    Demi was lucky there.

Seriously, why is George Hamiliton's audio always slightly ahead of the play?!

It always seems to be just him. Is it to make it appear like he's "reading" the game better?

    Demichelis having a mare

Awful passing here from City, still look out of sorts.

It's RTE's lack of technical ability. It's always shocking. Sync issues are a regular occurrence.

I'm watching on Sky. Much better.

I mean it's not like they are Moscow, dealing with the distance there, it's only in Manchester!

This match is proving to be more difficult than I thought. Not passing or playing well at all. Silva's presence is badly missed.

The space and time Moscow are getting in midfield is ridiculous. Can see this being 4-2 to city.

This is awful from both sides, mistake after mistake.

Just talking about negredo there on rte, why the hell did city get rid of him? Good striker and guaranteed about 15-20 goals a season.

Cant play 4-4-2 with Toure in the team. Doesn't work. Never has worked. Play another midfielder in there and let him play higher up the field where his laziness is less detrimental to the team.

CSKA playing through City way too easily.

A bit early to be saying that.

Possibly but they need to win this. Nothing else will do. And can you see City scoring two without conceding another? They might do it but I cant see it.

Did the Fernando lad with a competition to play tonight Christ he is shocking

He wanted to leave, didn't like Manchester. Might have needed to lower the wage bill for FFP too. I was pretty unhappy to lose him too, fantastic striker and worked so well in our team.

With Aguero playing it's very possible, the guy can score from anything.

    True. He's lethal.

But the issue isn't scoring....its scoring two without reply. Unless changes are made at half time, that isn't going to happen.

Hard to pick a sub we could bring on the shore it up a bit in the midfield/defense. I would love if Lampard could stay with us for the year. Would you bring on Sagna? Mangala?

Would like to see Dzeko and Nasri on for Jov and Navas. Not saying Jovetic has been bad but he just doesn't have the understanding with Aguero that Dzeko has.

Pelligrini the dinasour only knows 4-4-2

I wanted him at Liverpool, not watching the game until this minute so can't comment on how he'd been but it looks like he's failed to live up to his rep since joining from Porto

he flew out of the traps his first couple of games then got an injury and hasnt looked the same since, think it was Newcastle city played on the opening weekend and he was amazing, covered every blade of grass breaking up newcastle attacks and looked assured passing the ball too, hopefully he will get back to that form sooner rather than later!
