Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Each of those should tweet back with photographic evidence or GTFO.

They are probably 50c or €1 bets.

PP aren't saying how much it cost them.

Anyone else thinking something very suss about a lot of the results today?
    Far East betting scandal perhaps?

Some of them are so ridiculous that they just don't sit right with me.

Oh yeah cos guys like Jose Mourinho are famous for rolling over aren't they?
Each game can be seen on its own merits there was no fix as much as silly people might like to believe it.

If Chelsea, Man City or Spurs had selected their first choice goalkeepers, they'd probably still be in the cup.

    Are you stalking me?

    Who said Jose was involved?

My claim is partly tongue in cheek, but some of the results were frankly unbelievable today.

And anyone who thinks that games can't be thrown at the top level are living in cuckoo land.

Petr Cech is hardly a mug. He'd be first choice for large percentage of premier league teams and probably most halfway decent champions league teams.

He pulled off a world class save from Davies from a corner i wouldn't blame him for Chelsea's defeat.

Probably the best day in the FA Cup that I can remember. After twelve of the sixteen matches only West Brom and Derby were the higher ranked sides to go through.

Congratulations to Blackburn, Reading, Bradford, Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace and Leicester. Honourable mentions for Cambridge, Sheffield United, Fulham and Bolton.

Hopefully more shocks to follow so hoping to see Bristol City, Bournemouth, Brighton and Rochdale in next round.

Interestingly Man United are the highest-ranking team still in and Palace are highest team actually through to round five

No, I don't believe the games were thrown.

Of course there's match fixing in football, that's well known. Different debate though.

Mad that none of these games were shown live on U.K t.v all things considered.

    What, things like hindsight?

    Before the game yesterday.

Well Joe you are not going to win it now.

I'm going to give him a break and say that those comments are probably taken massively out of context.

Either way, it puts him in a very bad light, especially when you consider that in the past three seasons, they've been knocked out by Championship opposition.

I think most people realize the FA cup is nowhere near the top of the priority list for any manager in any league. Manuel Pelligrini schedules a warm-weather trip midweek ahead of a cup game and then sends out a disinterested second string. Mourinho puts out a disinterested second string who give away a two goal lead to a team two divisions below them.

Biggest shock of the round so far.

Villa have scored 2 and are going to win a game.

    Sat 14/02/15
    West Bromwich … 12 : 45 West Ham United
    Blackburn Rovers 15 : 00 Stoke City
    Derby County 15 : 00 Reading
    Crystal Palace 17 : 30 Liverpool

    Sun 15/02/15
    Aston Villa 12 : 30 Leicester City
    Bradford City 14 : 30 Sunderland
    Arsenal 16 : 00 Middlesbrough

    Mon 16/02/15

WBA 3-0 or do not sell your strikers!

Pulis really knows how to make a team perform.

You know you're in trouble when Carlton Cole is brought on to win the game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,399 ✭✭✭✭Thanx 4 The Fish

Was that a yellow and a red in the space of a second for Amilfitano or a yellw and then called it as a second yellow and then a red, he did not wave the yellow twice? Not long on as a sub either.

Blackburn Rvs thumping Stoke City, another cupset

    Derby v Reading 1-2 latest

WTF where did that Blackburn performance come from?!

It basically boiled down to not being able to handle the pace of King, or the aerial ability of Gestede. Stoke just could not handle them.

Stoke started well, but Blackburn came back into it after being 1-0 down. After the red card and penalty it only ever looked like a Blackburn win.

Bradford will certainly fancy their chances of an upset today against Sunderland. Their pitch may well act as a bit of a leveller! It's even worse than the picture shows:

There are a lot of terrible pitches at the moment. Not sure why though - the winter has been fairly kind.

what genius decided Villa v Leicester would be a good game?

Dreadful game and further proof that the FA Cup is a dead duck.

That game must be hard to play in, it's bloody hard watched. Sherwood has his work cut out with Villa; they're dreadful.

Ah alright but in fairness being premiership teams they are in the top percent of teams and with decent draws would be expected somewhat to progress. This game would have been rubbish anyways.

Although good point about the stadium wierd especially after getting a new manager.

"Further proof"? What's the rest of the proof? I'm pretty sure Bradford and Middlesboro would disagree that it's a dead duck. You get poor games in every competition, the FA Cup is no different.

Is Bradford Sunderland on the telly box? Wouldn't mind watching it if it's on sky or BBC or whoever has it. Can see it being a decent game.
