Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Must win game for United. Anything less and the knives will be out for LVG.
If we cannot beat Palace at home given all the money we have spent on players then we have serious problems.

    3-0 United.

    Think so.

3 points is a must. Can't afford to drop anymore at home to weaker opposition.

A solid draw, both set of supporters go home happy.

Yep, maybe like a 3-0 lead but completely collapse and get pegged back to 3-2 and then an injury time leveller to round it off nicely.
    Everyone is happy.

Expecting the underdog to prevail here.

    3-0 United.

I'm going with a nervy 2-1 win for United.

Great to see Setanta show a well supported team for a change.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea as well as United should be 1st choice picks instead of West Brom or Palace.

Palace arent bad actually, but Utd should have more than enough at home to beat them.

The other night I had a dream that Palace were winning 1-0 in the 73rd minute which is kinda weird seeing as I don't follow either team and never have football dreams...

I'm afraid this is quite result dependant. If United win this, and comfortably, then Palace are shocking, one of the worst teams in the league and certain to go down, if Palace win or get a draw, Palace are shocking, one of the worst teams in the league and certain to go down.

Wait, it will be the same either way, apologies. They are a solid team who have beaten Everton away and gave Chelsea a good game at home. I expect them to be a good test but one I expect us to come through

They're only out of the relegation zone on goal difference and have conceded 19 goals in 10 games. Not exactly sure how you think they are a solid team. I'd expect United to put on a decent performance and possibly win 3-0

I outlined that in the post, if you want I can go into the specific areas where I think they could be a threat to United?

Didn't think there was much need though, as I said, a solid team but I expect us to come through it, if it were not for the usual defensive injury list I would be very confident of a couple of clear goals victory.

Score draw followed by Utd fans complimenting the team's dominant spells in possession and the unpredictability of Di Maria, all the while lamenting the defence and probably the ref and maybe Moyes, followed by a change in the mood to one of schoolgirl giddiness following the prospect of Chelsea giving Liverpool a hiding at Anfield, allowing the media and themelves to continue to turn a blind eye to what has been a continuation of the negligent behaviour towards the club shown by Ferguson, Moyes, Woodward and now partially Van Gaal. If Ferguson had stayed on, he would not be remembered solely for the treble or all the silverware, but for mastering the rise and fall of the biggest football club in history. And he knows it.

    Actual prediction: 2-1 Utd.

This is a pathetic post. You predict a score draw, talk a load of ****e and throw some digs in finishing it off with some bs about Ferguson got out before mastering the fall of United.

To top it off you then cover yourself and say a close United win.

    Ridiculous

    3-1 United. (Falcao hattrick)

    That better?

3-1 rooney with 2 and rvp. Can see a few cagey moments in defence.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,304 ✭✭✭madcabbage

I hope to Christ the make shift defence can hold out today. I'd go for a 2-1 scrappy win even though it's at home.

A 2-1 win with 1 or 2 heart stopping moments again.

Rumour is Blind at CB and Carrick as DM

I'm really happy to see Jedinak suspended for today's game.
Anything to make things easier for United, and his absence is definitely a positive!

Maybe McNair could get another chance at CB

A defeat for United and there pressure will increase in LVG ok

De Gea, Valencia, McNair, Blind, Shaw, Fellaini, Carrick, Januzaj, Rooney, Di Maria, van Persie

Reckong itll be Carrick at CB and not Blind

Still recovering from his injury I'd imagine.

Falcao's injured, hopefully 4-0 United, Di Maria & James Wilson & Rooney x2

Wouldn't be too sure of that =, he likes balance and Blind is a left footer, he is able to play centre back so the line up could go as read.

    Januzaj again?

Yeah its possible alright but I would hope we would leave Blind where he is and have some more experience in that backline from Carrick

Don't think this one will be comfortable to watch. I can't see that defence getting through 90 minutes unscathed.

I'm going for a 2-1. To who, I'm not sure.

Don't know where people are pulling 3-0 and that out of, I'm expecting a very close cagey game. Palace shouldn't be underestimated!

Most predictions like mine (4-0) are probably tongue in cheek going by the amount of posters saying its not going to be easy watching etc

I will of course be predicting 4 goal wins for the remainder of the season though.
