Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Shaw again was very good, Rooney OK, RVP Poor, DiMaria Poor, Fellani Good, the rest mostly average... 3 points is 3 points though.

That was a chore to watch but 3 points is 3 points.A distinct lack of pace going forward. It was almost a Moyes like performance from the team.

The one point to take away from this game is that Shaw looks like he's finally finding his feet. Brilliant today, couldn't fault him to be fair. Hopefully he can stay fit now!

Didn't Herrera get the rib injury v West Ham, and he started after that v West Brom?
So I assumed the injury healed if he started

He had to come off at half time though so he definitely wasn't near fitness.

If anything games like this (not the first one this season, or the one before last thinking about it) proves that it wasn't Moyes who was overly at fault for the lumbering play last season and it's still the players.

Valencia was ok defensively but so limited going forward compared to the other fullbacks we have.
RVP just looked as if he was turning up to get paid.Rooney for all his movement wasn't great,he was expected to be the creative spark from deep but did very little of it.
Herrera would have been ideal in this game to open up Palace with a bit of invention.
We can't say too much of the patched up defense,at least we didn't concede but Palace were so conservative it may have helped us.

72% of the possession but we failed to create too much, the international break might be a blessing to help get players back fit.

On the positive side at least we ended up getting the 3 points and weren't sucker punched. Now let's hope we get back the likes of Jones and that during the international break.

Game against Arsenal will be a big one, need to be taking points off our main rivals for top 4.
