    Hi all,
was hoping to park somewhere in the park but its closed in certain places. Been that im unfamiliar with it, will everything be closed or can i get into some spot to park? anywhere will do. What section is "Chesterfield Avenue (Mountjoy to Phoenix) ". I know this is the road down the middle but to what points is it closed?

    Gates to be closed:

Mountjoy roundabout is the first one as you are coming in from the Castleknock gate and the Phoenix roundabout is the one with the giant phoenix statue ;)

Main gate will be open, so you should be able to get in past the zoo - they'll probably just have a turnaround point before the phoenix roundabout or something.

many thanks FreudianSlippers... I was figuring it was closed to one area of the park alright.

The Ashtown Gate only has no right turn, upon entry. It doesn't sound like there is anything stopping you from turning left and heading down toward the zoo area.

You could also swing in through the Cabra gate if you wanted to avoid traffic - you just have to turn around at Nephin Road to get into the park if you're going towards town as there is no right turn into the gate from Blackhorse Avenue inbound.
