The new report system looks good, you can see it here. Now the problem with it is it will definitely be abused.

To me, poor teamwork is the only thing that could be heavily abused, pretty much everything else could be monitored by a bot.

Once you don't get banned for poor teamwork until some of the reports are reviewed by a human, you're probably going to be okay.

Pity they won't have a person reviewing them though.

I have never had a good Hanzo on my team. I've had maybe five good widowmakers. That's the level I'm playing at though, I've seen videos of the top level players and its impressive what they can do.

Yeah, that's the problem. You just know people will report others for messing up an ult or making a mistake.

If you haven't tried it yet go into Arcade, Find Game and choose one of the weirder looking games from the server browser.

I tried one last night which was a 6 vs 1 Boss fight, with a crazy powerful/fast Orissa galloping around as the boss. The person who was hosting it tweaked the game each round to keep it balanced (eg increased Mei's cooldowns if she was too strong, increased Orissa damage if she wasn't etc).

They would randomly select a person to be the boss each game and swap them around.

Best part is that everyone was using a mic, were sound and having a laugh. The former can be pretty rare on console.

Check it out, may find something weird and fun.

I'm sitting at 2300 which I feel is ok considering I slipped to 1800 last season.

I've focused on a role rather than trying to spread myself between the different classes. Decided to specialise in tanking as you can still do a lot of dps and nobody wants to pick a tank most of the time.

I'm really only playing zarya, hog and rein. Winston and Dva are very situational I feel.... I can't find a use for Orisa yet

If I can't tank I take dps, my Phara and Soldier are on a 50% win rate.

Overall I've played 144 games, Won 74, Lost 60 and drawn 10.

The individual stats don't really tell much as it depends on the team you are on vs team you are against and all the little variables that go along with that but I may hit my goal of getting into plat this season, or get close enough anyway.

Ashamed to say I rage quit a game last night. Attack Numbani and won that easily with nearly 4 minutes left. They attack with Widow and Torbjorn, one healer (Lucio) no tanks and win easily with about 3 minutes left. I'm in a state of rage induced shock at this point. Defending again and they throw Hanzo into the mix and slaughter us on their first push.

Tilted and quit.

After losing six in a row, the streak switched and I was part of a couple of wins on the bounce and then I got another freeze during defensive set up.

I noted the code and I'll have to sort that out before I go near competitive again. Possibly data corruption or something, as the disc seems very clean.

I started the new Zelda so maybe it's time for me and Overwatch see other people for a bit.

Not that I know of.

The tracking sites seem to just show stats for EU, US, South East Asia and Oceania and China/Korea

There is Overwatch Tracker which has an option to show country leaderboards but you need to sign up to it to appear on it, and it's new so pretty bare and useless.

It's a shame Blizzard don't show this information, would be interesting to see.

Finally got round to finishing my placement matches, 2045. Not bad considering I'm not an FPS player. Two of my mates in Gold too so I'm happy enough.

Has anyone else found this with Roadhog, if I hook the opposing teams Roadhog, they'll quite commonly be able to pull off the Shoot->melee combo and kill me before I can retaliate, despite the fact that I've hooked them. I've seen it go both ways and killed Roadhogs who hook me. It only seems to happen in Roadhog V Roadhog situations. Is there any explanation?

2nd Hog's hook interrupts your punch, probably.

It's a weird mirror match, probably better if you do Far shot (RMB) -> Hook -> Close shot (LMB)

Never hook first. It is known.

Not hook sorry, he'll quick melee me, typo. I'm interrupted before i even get to the punch, i don't get any attacks off and I'm dead.

He's my main if i'm not playing support, which is rare enough.

Yeah, the Hog vs Hog battles usually go to whoever hooks second, as long as both are at pretty much full health and the shot/combos land.
I believe the rationale is that the person hooking second interrupts at the right moment and is at perfect range, as people here mentioned. Will see if i can find a decent explanation on the reddit...

A lot of HogvHog fights i'm seeing these days involve a bit of sidestepping while firing the secondary first to try and bring the health down to a hook+primary+melee range.

The great new trick which i recommend everyone try is using your melee as a feint to fake people out. You can be standing well away from them, well outside of melee range and people will see the movement of the melee and think you're hooking. Encourages genji to use deflect, or tracer to burn a blink or two if they believe your'e using your hook.
