Finished low plat. Tried to just play tanks this season and tended to hover around mid gold for most of it. I find the quality of healers to be a real issue in the game. Most people have such a complete lack of situational awareness it's infuriating. Hog is fun but just isn't mobile enough. I can often top the medals with the likes of dva or Winston but you really need switched on heals to get the most out of them imo or maybe I need switched on heals to overcome my tendency to get shot.....

Did spend some time learning Moira finally, really enjoy her. It's hard to train yourself to stick to healing but she's a satisfying character.

Used DPS to jump back to plat for the gold gun points. Probably main Birgitte next season or DPS (dependable soldier). I'll likely hover mid plat as always doing that.

Finished 3000 because I saltily stopped playing when they announced that Brigitte wouldn't be available this season. Will jump back in next season as a Brigitte main, I've only played her in the Retribution missions but she's great fun.

think i finished 2900 on my try hard account, placed 3000, lost a few games, never went back!

on my do whatever the f%%k i want account ,i think im mid plat but i barely even look at the rank, i just enjoy my games. So much so that i dont bother playing on my try hard. It's like the other account is just there to prevent me from feeling tilt while i play the game, it actually works and i get to play whoever i want!

Cant wait to give Bridgette a proper bash.

Brigitte is a bit stupid and needs a little nerf tbh. She can properly 1v1 most chars...assuming they get near her.
Can be really difficult to kill to when back up with say a zen orb and some mora balls or an Anna.

I like to play mystery heroes instead of QP, but sometimes a team will get 2 brigittes...and..feck me !

"Rally to me!" That ult-line is awesome.

I've only been playing AI but her survivability seems fairly crazy. Shield, some armour as HP, self-healing on attack and the shield bash as a last resort to escape sometimes.

I hope they don't touch her though.

They have to.
I can only imagine what super high level pro play looks like with her.
Though not sure how she'd fit into competitive (pro level)

they already pushed through a small nerf, heres my fear for any new character, ranged dps is king in overwatch and on top of the pile for me is a great pharrah player with good movement. And this is another hero who cant touch that, will see how it goes but i'd like another ranged hitscan char, because taking down a pocketed pharmercy can be a gimp of a thing

I only play MH as well but sometimes it can seriously try your patience.

The other day was playing that Oasis dom map with the small square in the middle and the enemy team had 3 roadhogs and 2 mercys. :mad:

Also Brigette is amazing in Total Mayhem. She just literally cannot be killed at all in the middle of a scrap on the payload.

Agreed on the precision DPS, I sorta feel a support character that can partially heal/armour with a semi-auto carbine weapon in between Soldier and McCree would be good.

What sort of criteria is your ranking based on? I'm curious because my first placement on PC, I lost nearly all the games and played I would say pretty average to OK, and got into Gold all the same. Played my placement matches just there, won most of them, and played pretty consistenly well in most of them too, but I'm back in high Silver at pretty much exact same rank I finished last season!

I don't usually play comp at all, but I enjoy the placement matches and the very odd game, so curious more than anything.

Your first season its based off your QP MMR, after that its based off previous seasons finishing spot.

Most new players tend to place high and then drop a bit

Back doing my placements, ffs. It's just so handy to play after work.

Really enjoying them too,lost a few but they were close. I think Brigitte is really helping team comp as we usually end up with 2 supports, I'll tank (usually). Hope it will continue like this.

I was just surprised to see my rating didn't change, even though first time around I was something like 1-9 and played very medicore, this time was 7-3 and played a lot better but got the same rating.

As above seems to be based on your last placement then adjusted for the actual matches played, so factoring in my last season finish + SR for winning the 7 games, pretty much exactly equals my current rank.

Straightforward for once considering what I said above however saying that 2 matches I was playing against a throwing/messing about 2 stack so that helped and all the leavers etc seemed to be on enemy teams. Placed 2626 playing just as Moira. Wanted to use Birgitte a bit but I felt I wasn't having much of an impact so switched off.

I tells ya.... if you forget you have a damage ball and only use heals Moira is so OP and you get an ult up every 2 seconds. So funny seeing other Moiras wasting her orb as damage, usually when the teams are too far apart to even engage.

I find damage ball is best used only if you get caught one on one with a squishy or semi squishy. Gives you a fighting chance to get out of there. DPS moiré's are a scourge.
