Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking for comfy, stylish walking boot?!

Himself and I are going to New York next month. We plan to do a lot of walking around and the weather will be cold. Looking at my shoes, I don't think I have anything that's going to stand up to 8+ hours walking and keep me warm.

Can anyone recommend a comfy, durable pair of walking boots/shoes? Maybe something like a leather Chelsea boot/biker boot with a decent sole? Willing to pay a decent price if the quality is good.

    Help please!

ETA: What are people's experiences with Doc Martens? Just found a nice looking pair of their Chelsea boots online.

I bought a pair of knee high boots from marks and Spencer last winter and I can walk miles in them! They are from the footglove range, and are ridiculously comfortable even walking around all day! I think mine were about 120 Euro but they sometimes do 20% Off. These are most similar to mine http://m.marksandspencer.com/mt/www.marksandspencer.com/leather-wide-fit-buckle-knee-boots/p/p22328022?jsrl=stop&un_jtt_redirect
    Have a great holiday!

Clarks are the way to go! I used to think Clarks was a bit Mammy-ish but bought one great pair of boots from there a few years ago and have since found a few more pairs of shoes creeping into my wardrobe!

My pair of biker boots from them aren't available anymore but both the pairs linked below are similar. So comfortable right from the start and plenty of room for thick socks, yet they still look stylish.

Hi, I've been a Docs fan for many many years now and I would highly recommend them. Not just for how they look and feel but also for their amazing after sales service. I bought a pair of their sandals once and 5 years later one of the buckles broke. I emailed them to enquire about buying a replacement and that day they sent one out free of charge.5 years later! Fantastic service and great shoes.

Camper have some lovely comfortable boots these days. Get an insulation insole and you'll be sorted.
