Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I suppose we'll have to wait til the 70 minute mark for any changes or is the fact that we're rubbish not enough to force wenger to make changes.......

Merts should have done better there imo, at least be hitting the target.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Merts should have put that away decent end to the half

There is definitely a game plan and tactics as hard as it is for us to see.

But whatever they are the team either don't know how to play it or don't believe in it.

We don't seem to ever have energy or belief anymore

    I'd bring on Walcott asap.

But to be fair, we tend to have one cracking half in games these days. Lets hope that the first one is as bad as it gets!

Its funny because we say this every 6 or 7 weeks or so for the last few seasons. We string a few good results and performance together and get our hopes up only for an embarrassing result like the other night to happen and totally ruin the team and fans confidence.

In fairness he's been great this half, unlike anybody else.

He has good moments and some good games but that just only makes it more annoying when he shows what he has the potential to do but fails to do consistently.

This is his fourth season with us now and if were being honest he hasn't really improved upon the player he was as a teenager we signed.

He is still young but he has to start showing more imo. When he first arrived he had the build, technique and pace that I saw a massive future for him a massive future that he just hasn't delivered upon yet.

He looked like the next Rooney when he first signed. I would like to see him play in the centre ahead of Cazorla see how he gets on.

Chambers will never be good enough as a right back. Too slow and been all over the place tonight.

Welbeck should have gone across the keeper but at least he tested Fabianski. Arsenal are surprisingly very slow in midfield apart from Chamberlain. All very laborious. Surely Wilshire or Walcott should be on second half?

Oddly enough Im really happy with that half. Not great going forward but really keeping Bony quiet, with monreal and mert playing much better together today. Ramsey and Ox improved as the half went on. Santi and Welbeck could do with subbing around the 60 mark though if things dont pick up for them.

He's not had a full season yet in the Premier league.

    Give the fella a break

He has had some good games playing centrally and has said himself in the long term ideally that's were he would like to play.

Problem is about half of our players all fancy themselves playing in the exact same role. It's a bit ridiculous really that we have overloaded ourselves so much in one department and left ourselves so short in others.

It also doesn't take away from the fact he hasn't really improved as a player since we signed him, whether that's on him or our coaching staff I'm not so sure. But he does seem like the hard working type.

Fair enough, but I'm willing to make a judgement now that he will never be a top right back. Obviously I could be wrong but I believe he is too slow and offers very little going forward. He looks ok usually for Arsenal when they dominate possession but he has really been found out tonight.

Should be at centre back or on the bench with Bellerin on the right imo.

I think long term he will be moved central he's just playing RB now as well were so short in defence and Wenger clearly doesn't trust Bellerin yet to do the job. Incredibly strange move to let Jenkinson go out on loan.

    Montero is a decent player.

Monreal has had a very good game to be fair to him today. I like the lad he seems a good honest pro.

Chambers is wrecked. That kid is destroying him down that flank.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,238 ✭✭✭Ardennes1944

Do you put the quicker but more inexperienced Bellerin on for Chambers now? He could easily pick up a second yellow

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

I don't see a struggle at all, a bit more support from Ox but he's kept the pacy lad in check all game

Agree but Ox has been a great attack for us so it's a hard balance

    Flamini needs to support it
