Thanks xECompanyx - I received that form also. However, a few weeks after that I received a phone call asking that I specify 2 location choices. When I enquired as to which stream I was told for the campaign in general.

Thanks Burgo, funny I was rummaging looking for it earlier, to see how I had incriminated myself!

I know someone who is 28 on the panel and hasn't been placed yet.
I'm number 39 on the Dublin panel for ICT infrastructure, not placed yet !

I am in the mid twenties for Dublin but still in vetting process. I had the Garda link and gave them all the information they needed. I am also on the regional panel in the 40s. A month ago they called looking for location preferences - I chose Dublin and another county. So I am not sure how they are actually doing the placements.

They called me for the location preferences indeed, I think I just need to be patient.

I was 35 on the infrastructure panel for Dublin but as I am already placed on the development that will move everyone up a notch after me :).

I'm sure there are probably more in my position as well.

Im an existing Civil Servant so evetting is non applicable. I received a phone call from PAS. Had I accepted, I would then have to deal with the red tape.

Who told you that. I recently got promoted to another department and evetting took 1 week, in total the whole process took 5 weeks from when I heard I was successful to my start date.

18 yrs in the civil service my friend and ive never heard of established officers being double vetted. My bad if im wrong but the rules are different for serving officers

Sorry I misunderstood your post. I took it as you were not allowed to be vetted as a civil servant. I have moved departments twice in last 2 years and was vetted both times.

Were you interviewed for the same position earlier?

Was, back in July, so not sure what is coming in this interview.. Be yourself and hope they like it.

I did a primary back in July and then recalled for this weeks interview, not sure what position I am in or what to expect.

Position 28 for the regional is next on the panel.

Im 22 on the regional panel dev and have not been placed. It depends on where the panalist wishes to be placed location wise.

Id imagine a lot have not been placed from the original interviews. Movement has been at a snails pace. PAS even started interviewing more a while back with no-one placed from the original panel. Im in Kerry so am holding out for a position in that County. I was offered Cork but theres no way I could manage a 3 hr a day commute. Moving up there is not an option.

I agree, a daily 3 hr commute would quickly become very tiring not to mention the associated costs. Also agree movement is very slow in the regions. Efforts would seem to be concentrated on the Dublin region at the moment. Hopefully, placements will start to materialise in the regions soon.

    Hi Guys,

Sorry if I'm repeating on a thread here but I have my interview coming up soon for the ICT Development Specialist.

I know a lot is mentioned about competencies but was anyone asked technical questions? I'm just a recent graduate and a bit anxious as to what might be thrown at me!

You will be asked technical questions based on what you have claimed on your application form and experience you have.

Thanks for that peigindubh had the interview today hard to know how it went. Anyone have an idea how long after they were notified. I know that having it just before christmas is going to delay things!
