Do any one know what is the equivalent grade of EO ICT - Is it Grade 4 or Grade 5?

Not an exact match . It's closest to Grade IV in terms of salary.
In CS theres 3 main " clerical" grades co eo heo in HSE/la there's Gr 3,4,5,6,7 with a lot more overlap in salary for example gr v is 41 to 50 approx , but heo goes up to 60ish just short of gr vii. An EO might have staff to manage , but very unlikely gr iv would.

Exec Officer in CS is equivalent to a Staff officer Grade V in local authorities/ HSE..
Grade V salary max is approx 49k EO is 47k I think.
    Grade IV max is 43k.

Yes but gr v starts on 40ish and EO starts on 27. Gr iv starts on 27 too

Did any one here recently got an offer from Dublin City Council for Asst. System Officer role?

    DCC: 41K / 31 holidays per year
    CC: 29K / 21 holidays per year

Any adv/disadvantages in switching job from EO ICT Civil Service to Local authority?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,501 ✭✭✭✭Slydice

I don't know much about the DCC position but that pay and those holidays look similar (pay just under, holidays just over) to what the HEO gets in the civil service.

I got a regional post in the DAFM. When I was contacted I was given the list of locations available and asked for my preferred location. I commenced post a month ago.

I’d be asking how does your civil service pension transfer over to the public service?

Has anyone been offered a HEO position in the Dept of Agriculture, in Backweston?

    What's it like?

What does the day to day job entail?

  • Registered Users Posts: 80 ✭✭CryWolf

New competition for (EO ICT Specialist) closing date 18th April 2019, does that mean that the old panel is closed?

Was it advertised internally in your department, normally there's a thread on here about the competition

    Doc 22

It was on Public Jobs for the bones of a month. I chanced on the competition just by logging onto Public Jobs myself. It was not internal it is an open competition. That is why I am really surprised that there does not seem to be much talk about it?
