References being checked atm. Told my manager yesterday. How are you getting on?

Ah deadly. I'm the same. Some paperwork was sent to my current employer but I've not spoken directly to the departments HR yet.

Did you get sent a link from the CMO to fill out (aswell as the initial self declare health form by any chance?)

I remember the self declare health check one. Not sure the link from the CMO you're referring to? PAS have been onto me though and I should be looking at nailing down a start date by end of week all going well. How's your process going?

I'm pretty much the same. I got a call on Friday just checking how long I need to give notice to my current job and I'm like yourself, have to give four weeks. They did mention I'm still being vetted (beyond the Garda vetting) so I'm hoping it will be all made official by end of this week. Best of luck to yourself mate. You must be well stoked?!

well i've been quiet for a while as my clearance was held up by the CMO process and in that time i made an enquiry about the software development role in Ag House. I was then informed that coding is generally outsourced and that the role would concentrate on driving projects, business analysis and testing. I felt that after hearing that my interest in the role faded as that is not software development and more like software/project management. So i didn't take the role and in the meantime i did find a job that suited me more so it all worked out in the end and was an eye opener into the whole recruitment process for the civil service.

By the way congratulations to those of you that have succeeded! Best of luck to you guys

Ah nice :) yeah sounds like its all just a matter of days now. Relief to have it all at an end! Yeah I'm delighted. Curious now to see where I'll be placed and what my role will be. Its different in that regard I guess from other jobs you go for but then again there's probably so many ways your career can go that nothing is set in stone. Im in IT Support at the moment but open to learning new roles and technologies. I'm sure all will be revealed shortly :-)

No word yet on my side.

I was surprised to hear that I was starting this side of Christmas. Pretty much everyone in my old dept said that it would most likely be after Christmas at this stage. At least you've all your vetting out of the way.

Can anyone please tell me how long they were waiting for interview results?

  • Registered Users Posts: 465 ✭✭bada_bing

I think the interview results took about 7-8 weeks to come out and then if you're successful, expect another 2-3 months before getting the job contract after PAS clearance, vetting etc..

Does anyone have a copy of the ICT EO infrastructure job booklet for this campaign? It would help answer my queries about job duties.

    Both Streams,

Picked them in Kildare, Meath and Dublin, not sure which area i'm on the list for now though.

I rang up PAS on Friday to ask for any updates as I haven't heard anything back ever since I got my order of merit email. I was told that there has been no demand for IT staff in rural locations and that all the jobs were based in Dublin. Bit disappointing as I was hoping there might have been something in at least one of the midlands counties.

That’s disappointing.... What stream(s) did you apply for? Did you get your order of Merit for your location?
