hi I recently got an email saying it’s this position is for everyone

that position is in central statistics office cork

They are saying it’s urgent requirement and if I don’t accept it they would place me in the panel in the order of merit

can anyone guide me as I may not go further as I stay in Dublin so will I be considered in the panel yet even if I don’t accept

Sorry, your post isn't very clear.

Your best bet is to reply to the email and ask for clarification.

I think what you're saying is you've been offered a position in the CSO's Cork office, but if you don't accept that, will you remain on the panel? I would imagine that's the case, but ask them to clarify. It certainly is the case if you put Dublin as your favoured work place when you applied.

If you want to stay in Dublin then you need to either a) decline the offer and tell them you want to stay on the panel for Dublin (you said before you're 44th on the panel so would likely only be waiting a few weeks to a few months); or b) tell them you'll accept if you can work fully remotely (and if fully remote work would suit you) or do blended working (meaning you would have to commute to Cork one or two days a week).

I received the message as well and from my understanding if you do not email to be considered for the position in the CSO, you will still remain on the panel

they mentioned that this post is for all people who are in that competition ID

If we are interested, we need to reply but in case if we are not interested we should not email as they will consider we are not interested. That position is based in cork.

they also emailed saying even if I don’t accept this position would still remain in the panel based on order of merit as this is urgent requirement.

do you think asking for remote option in Dublin create confusion to them

Ah, ok. I think if fully remote or lots of blended working was a possibility, they would have mentioned it in the email, especially if the post needs to be filled urgently.

I therefore just wouldn't reply if you are happy to stay on the panel for Dublin.

All of the questions you're asking - contact email address, pay rate - are covered in the information booklet you got before you applied.

We can't know your projected take home pay because we don't know your situation or what tax credits you have.
