Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Heat Resistant Plaster

I've been told that Heat Resistant Plaster is the best solution for my cracked plaster over my insert stove.

Can anyone back this up or the opposite.

We have cracking plaster immediately above the insert stove.
Additionally there is a hairline crack all the way to the ceiling.
We do not have a stone/marble surround.

    My plan is to:
    1. Remove the cracking plaster down to the block/lintel.
    2. Fill it with Heat Resistant Plaster (Vitcas maybe).
    3. Leave it for a week.
    4. Sand it.
    5. Prime it.
    6. Paint the wall.
