What to expect from a solicitor after closing?

    Hi,

I bought a house and got the keys. However, I don't have any documents that confirm that I'm now the owner of the property. Should I expect any documents to be provided to me by my solicitor after closing? I want to be informed before I call him.

    Thanks.

Even with a cash sale? That is, no mortgage.

You should at least get the land registery documents with you named as the owner of the property with the folio map - thats what I got anyway - but it did take 3 months after closing to get them in the post....so I wouldn't worry yet if its only a recent purchase.

I'd expect a bill and little else.
