Can you download Showbox onto a Smart TV/Smart DVD player

Thinking of buying a Smart TV or a Smart Blu Ray player to convert my current TV into a Smart TV. One question - can you download the ShowBox app onto these or is Showbox solely for android? Would I be better getting an android box or the Smart BluRay players?
