    looks legit. kinda underwhelming, tempted to sell my ticket. apart from the lineup usually being stunning, i don't think primavera is great. the crowd are crap and venue very industrial.

    Crowd are crap as in, not falling around hammered? Not creating a horrible atmosphere?

    it's probably mostly the language barrier, i was very surprised at how few Catalans speak English. so not many conversationswith random strangers, apart from yanks/brits/etc.

    apart from that, for crowd during actual gigs, I'd take Electric Picnic crowd any day over Primavera.

    Well it is a festival in Barcelona.....

    Learn some Catalan if you expect to have conversation with everybody there, you cannot fault a European festivals for not speaking English.

    Always been interested by Primavera. Might try hit it this year for the first time. I'm assuming people here have been before. What were your experiences?

    Excellent. Should be dry, no queues for beer, food, toilets. Take a week, few days either side, get an apartment in Barceloneta. Metro runs all night Friday and Saturday.

    Better yet look for an apartment in Pobleneau and you'll only need the metro then if you wanna explore the rest of Barca.

    Only getting to have a good gander at this now, first look left me a bit meh but only cos I was praying for Drive like Jehu, Merchandise and Tool. Now that that's sunken in, and considering we were spoilt last year, it's a decent line up. Clashes aside, there's about a dozen bands I'll itch to see and as always I'll be blown away by two or three acts that I won't have heard of before. And there will be more acts added to the bill so you never know ... Let's just have better weather than the last two years.

    Been looking forward to this annoucement for months but now that its happened im very disappointed. Headline acts are pretty awful, the strokes, interpol, ride, Patti Smith etc have little interest to me.
    Already have flights booked but to be honest I can see me giving this a miss. Spent around 500 quid at this last year and it was worth it. Cant see how i can justify spending it on this line up unfortunatley

    yeah, i've been toying with going for the last while and decided to hold out for the lineup. it seems a lot weaker than previous years. i usually don't care about headliners, but the mid/lower tier acts are pretty uninspiring and the ones i am interested in, i've mostly seen in the last year or 2. don't think i'll bother with it.
    i'd rather spend the money going there for Sonar instead tbh.

    It's on the beach. Wouldn't be a mental atmosphere, fairly chilled crowd, starts late and ends around 5am, usually good weather.

    Its not on a beach at all. Its in a concrete park that was built for some exbo in the 90s. Its beside the sea but its definitely not on a beach. Image of the area is below.

    If you are thinking of going then definitely definitely stump up the extra 50 for VIP tickets if you can. Gives you priority access to bars, food area, seated stand where you can see both main stages and most importantly clean bathrooms which the average punter cant use. Worth their weight in gold.

    Black Keys have cancelled their tour into April, will be interesting to see if this changes anything.
