Hi All

I recently made a double firearm substitution and today I followed up to my local station with a call to be told I should get it in a few days as the application had been granted and it’s with An Post. Great I thought and left down the phone.

Then I thought to myself why is it with An Post as it’s a sub and I’m expecting the substitute licence to arrive.

Am I correct in saying the sub is free and I don't have to pay another €80?

Could they have mixed it up as a new application and not a sub as I have been waiting 4 weeks now? It was clearly marked substitution with all the old and new firearm details on the form.
