Absolutely lashing in Ashbourne, just took a quick spin around the town, still some quite bad flooding in a few housing estates with the broadmeadow river looking set to burst its banks over night, could cause major disruption in the morning.
Also just had a quick look at rain today, there looks to be a very heavy section of rain moving just west cornwall at the moment, looks to be on track for the east coast of Ireland, or do ye believe it will track more westwards?

Am in Donabate, it's puking it down and blowing a gale. Seems at least as heavy as what was served up today. The trek to work tomorrow will be character-building to say the least...

I thought I heard a faint rumble of thunder in Dublin 22 a moment ago. It could have been a plane, though.

Lightning strike south of Carrick on Suir.

Not a wheelie bin anyway :) If the forecast is to be accurate, the main action should start in around an hour. It is raining, though, but certainly not near as bad as earlier or what is to be expected.

Plenty of rumbling, most of it distant, one or two a bit closer.

Rain has just started here again south of Donegal Town. Wet old day but not huge volumes compared to what some of you are dealing with.

Edited to add: 10.5mm in last 24hrs

Rain still moderate but the odd heavy burst too in north country Dublin. Certainly flood potential if it continues to be persistent.

Very heavy rain again in South Dublin- garden flooding pretty badly compared to past events and I just heard a rumble of thunder there.

Pelting down in Terenure. The sound off the skylights in the kitchen is frightening the dog!

Very localised embedded thunderstorms. Literally up the road could be light to moderate rain.
