Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pic of fan. Looks pretty bad, Keane will pay for this.

I'd say what probably happened was that the fan was enjoying a quiet drink when an intoxicated Keane came over and started hassling him to spend time with him, I would imagine. Any hint of demurement from the fan was only met with outrage from Keane who, perhaps, proceeded to lash out at the fan for not giving him the attention he probably craved so much. Allegedly.

The fan probably called him a traitor. And he's dead right.

I'd say there'll be a carnival atmosphere between the Irish and Scottish fans in Glasgow over the next couple of days. And by carnvial I of course mean "reminiscent of a Wolftones concert"

    Pa-pow?

Well I'd say the tabloids are stopping the presses to go with this story.

Have to admire the lengths Keane goes to deflect the pressure off the Irish team. Before Germany match he insulted Sir Fergie and now this.

Looking forward to this being all over the news tomorrow

Just when things started getting interesting with the Garda inspectorate report too

Roy is what, about 43 now ?

He was gonna lose it at some stage.

Surprised he got this far in life without blowing his top before really.

If it was John Delaney he hit, he should be given the freedom of Cork and wherever else he wishes to roam.

Keano is a legend. That word gets thrown around too much but it's true when we're talking about Keano. He's just pure entertainment, funny and cool as ****. He even makes a boring sport like soccer seem interesting.
Once when he was Sunderland manager his team were losing at half time so he got his assistant to set up the tactics board while he waited in the toilet for the players to come into the dressing room. When all the players had sat down out comes Keano with a flying kick into the tactics board, smashing it to pieces. The players woke up after that. :D

This is shocking. Portmarnock and Malahide used to be so genteel.

FAI saying that Keane himself called the Gardai

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Hope Roy didn't fracture the supporter's halo. He'll probably need it for talking to the gutter press tomorrow.

And the main source for this story appears to be a Scottish tabloid.

Methinks it's the Sweaties stirring up shit.

The Sindo are reporting that it was a man well known to Keane and is thought to have "written about him" previously:
    Independent
When Keane refused the man - who is believed to have written about the former Manchester United star in the past - began tearing pages out of the book in the reception area of the hotel.

Hardly surprising that he declined to sign it, given his history with certain Irish journalists.
