Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Teaching council registration error!

    Hi all,

Looking for some advice, I worked with a secondary school student as part of the July provision, everything went perfect. Anyway after going to collect my payment from the parent this week, it was quite clear I was not paid the rate I was expecting!
After investigating I realised I was only registered for the vec which was fine during the PDE and therefor received the VEC rate for July provision. After contacting the college, I was sent a copy of the email which was forwarded to the teaching council when I and my classmates completed our course. They seem to be fully registered, but for some reason I wasn't, hence losing out on a substantial sum of money. Who is at fault? After speaking with the head of my course she assured me I should be fully registered pending the induction so should have received the qualified rate.

Is there any hope of getting this back, the department said I wouldn't be able but surely as it was not my fault I should not be punished!?

Sorry for the long message but just very frustrated, especially as I am finding it much slower work wise than last year!

Try your union. They'd have the knowledge and the contacts.
