    How do folks,
I've a few scaffold boards that I'll be using for raised beds shortly, is there any known safe way of treating them to prolong their life?
    Cheers as always!

They will last well without being treated. Cover the soil side of the boards with DPM (Damp Proof Membrane) from builders merchant.
This will help reduce the amount of time the boards are saturated and will give them time to dry out. You can always paint the outside with standard fence paint as the DPM would stop anything you were worried about leeching through.

Worth making sure the boards are dry before you cover / paint them. Stick them indoors or under a tarp for a few weeks at least.

Cheers, ya they've been leaning up against the wall in the garage a while now so nearly ready to go.
