Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Before deciding to purchase a Nikon d750 can someone please explain the facility of shooting in DX (crop) mode on these Full Frame cameras. My main question is can you use this camera in DX mode while using FX lenses (in other words while shooting in DX on this Full Frame camera can you use both FX and DX lenses ?). Also in reviews it seems to be the case that you can't open Raw files from the d750 in Lightroom 5 (which I use) is this still the case and if so is there a way of getting around this.

Adobe have just, (in the last week) released an update for Lightroom compatibility with the D750 so no need to worry!

DX mode is used to shoot DX lenses on an FX body. What it actually does is simply crop the frame down to that of a DX camera. The reason is that a DX lens on an FX body will cause excessive vignetting. If you wanted to use DX mode on an FX camera with an FX lens...well surely you could just shoot in full frame and crop later in lightroom as required?

Also... you can shoot in FX mode with the DX lens and simply create your own crop after. Some DX lenses cause more vignetting when used on an FX body than others. The D750 gives you a 1.5 and a 1.2 crop mode. (FYI - A DX body has a sensor sized at 1.5)
