Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nah he's just lost a lot of weight...

Nice to see a Liverpool man on the scoresheet tonight, WMM.. :pac:

Good Evening folks. How's things with you with you all?

I haven't heard about most of the guests for tonight apart from Michael Martin of course. But it should be a good show to look forward to.

Oh for the love of Jaysus Brendan. The Iona group will probably collapse on the floor in shock if they ever saw that on screen.

    Evening all.

What is the point of having Mehole on this show? Politicians should be banned from the SNS

How long before his daughter who died is brought up? Tubs would be straight in with that.

    Good Evening All :)

I think Micheál Martin and Anthony Daly may have been separated at birth, they share a lot of the same mannerisms and both are from roaring Fianna Fáil families ;)

I think Michael Martin is a good man, but he should have left the FF leadership after the last election.. And he's just a lame duck leader at this stage... And very hard to listen to...

I remember Tubridy completely side swiped him with that one day when he was interviewing him on the radio... Martin was audibly shook, as he was prepared for a FF love in..

Wrong show, it's Tubs who specialises in misery slots.

Just tuned in, was watching It Was Alright in the Seventies on Channel4. On again next week, worth a look at how un-pc things were.

    Evening all.

Don't know why he is on, nothing of any news from him. He should be asked why did he sign us up for water charges.

He has the Fianna Fail brass neck. Happy to hang in there for a shot at Taoiseach, despite vigorously going along with what happened. He should have done the decent thing instead of becoming another history revisionist

He went North to find out about it, and he talked to Unionists!!!! Should he not be in Fine Gael.

Does anyone remember when Micheál got caught eating his posh home-made sandwiches in a Limerick pub? :D

There isn't really much news to hear about Michael these days.

I do feel sympathy for the loss of his kids though. May both of them R.I.P. :(

Maria Cahill is being used as a political football

Anybody see the news tonight? Surely the next step for Paul Murphy is to just go and join Sinn Fein, because he's lost all credibility with his actions today.... Not that he had much to start with...

Teh synic in me would think that timing wise it was like she was kept in a storage area to be brought out when needed policitically.

"Sinn Fein and that kind of thing..."

Amazing how all the major political parties want to take Maria Cahill under their wing. Call me cynical but......

I'm no fan of Joan Burton's but I thought the 'protest' today crossed a line.

Rabble are starting to cause lots of trouble. I even saw a Topaz being picketed today because of Denis O'Brien's relationship with water meters

I'd love if the next time RTE have Michael Murphy in to psychoanalyse they ask them what does he think of his nephews behaviour and what should be done to discipline him..

Brian Cowen's relationship with Topaz is reason enough to picket them.

They started doing these interviews back in the 80s with Garret Fitzgerald & Joan. Maybe someone will remember similar interviews further back than that. But it's always the same MO, supposed affable leader of opposition comes on chat show and comes across as, eh, affable:mad:

As far as I can see, the people of Jobstown did nothing wrong today. It's about time our political leaders were taken out of their ivory towers.

To be fair, no one should be held responsible for anyone else's actions only our own.

It's funny, I was chatting a friend earlier and he has been involved in all the water protest marches. I said that I thought that today's protest crossed a line and I didn't think it was right.

His response was that Joan was getting well paid for her 2.5 hours in her car and people who live in genuine poverty have no chance of meeting a minister and if they do they're usually dismissed. It's fair to say that Joan and the government will be paying attention now.

Yeah, but then I suppose we've been spoiled with the spontaneous, unscripted and edge-of-the-seat quality that Tubridy has been serving up every Friday night...
