Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes. Getting a decent deal from what I reckon.

Nice one, congratulations. Class colour and spec. I'd love to try a manual one, I reckon I'd prefer it over the dsg. Enjoy!

Thanks. The GTD was a great car but I never really loved it you know. I did 37k in nearly 18 months in the GTD. The fuel difference will be manageable. And at the rate the diesels are depreciating i shouldn't lose much on the R at all over 2-3 years. That's the logic I'm going off anyway

You should look into a short shift kit, it makes the manual a much more enjoyable drive.

    Gratz man, enjoy it.
That fella who owns the garage is Lithuanian and he brings some rare tasty cars. He has AMG Merc, BMW 135M , 440i etc. I haven't heard any bad things said about him.

Yeah he seems like a decent fella. Getting a good warranty and a fair price on the trade in. After trying to deal with a few main dealers in the last while, it was refreshing to get a fair offer. To be honest my GTD is spotless and has a nice few extra's and he saw the value in that, i'm actually losing a bit of spec (heated seats and windscreen, reverse camera) but it'll be worth it.

The first second gear pull out of a wet roundabout sealed it for me, it just grips and goes!

Thats gorgeous Hooch - well done. Those two tone seats with the body colour is a really sweet combo. Pix please... and welcome to the R club

Are the seats some upgrade from the standard seats? They had a suede/alcantara feel to them on the outside, or are they all that?

My god. The R is an phenomenal car. Peak car for me anyway I can't realistically get any better without going for an M car or into the supercar league. The way it grips is just mind blowing and the damping unbelievably good. I live in the sticks and the road surfaces near my house aren't great, but even with the 19s it soaks up the bumps as if they aren't there.

Great to see youre loving it, having come from another Mk7. The one you got looks like a cracker. Throw up some pictures.

The black one? Damn, it looks like any Cupras that come up for sale in dealerships are sold just in days!
Was thinking about it for myself, unfortunately it's a bit out of my budget.
Gratz on it m8. Happy driving and good luck keeping black car clean. :D

I'm actually surprised by how good it is. I'm on course for 600kms from the first tank, around 34mpg. There was plenty of rips in that too but a lot was motorway or secondary roads cruising. If that's a sign of things to come I'll be well happy. For context I used get around 750 per tank in the GTD. Sometimes less too.

That is impressive. I was thinking mid to late 20's at best.

My old GTD if anyone is in the market. Well priced imo, it's a tidy car.

Upgraded stuff usually take longer to get to temp.

I've seen that it can make it worse, can't see a solution to cure it there has to be one though.
