Keyboard & Touchpad Stopped Working

    Hi Guys,

    I have a Lenovo G500 laptop running windows 8. The issue I have is that the keyboard and touchpad have stopped working. If I plug in a USB mouse it works fine. Anyone have any suggestions for the best way to diagnose if the problem is hardware or maybe driver related? Nothing was spilled on the keyboard etc.

    I had the same happen when I screwed around with my drivers...I had installed other drivers for a different machine by mistake.

    If it were me, I would download the drivers for mouse/keyboard again (using your USB ones) and install and reboot the machine.
