Somehow in conversation the other night, my wife expressed an interest in learning to shoot. "Like a sport ... with a gun ... not a rifle or shotgun."

So it's her birthday next month and thought I could squeeze in a gift I don't need to think so hard about. Is there anywhere in or around Dublin that that does lessons with equipment? I can't find anything online.

Look up the next NASRPC women on target course. It's a great starting point where they teach both pistol and rifle.

Women on target course, it's very very good, divided into 2 sections pistol and rifle , normal locations would be hilltop in Newtown mount Kennedy or Harbour House near Athy. It's run by the NARSPC and I think it's a NRA recognised course

Woman On Target is very good at giving an opportunity for the Ladies to learn in a controlled environment all aspects on how use a firearm.
Be quick next one is 22nd of November and the places fill up very fast
