Hi, I have vw passat B7,from last few days i am having problem with parking sensors. When i turn on headlights, parking sensor start beeping even if i am sitting idle or driving . They work fine if i am reversing. Is it common problem with vw passat or i am the unfortunate one?

Once on my Passat CC I had one on the rear that went bananas even though the car was nowhere near an object. Sometimes the build up of dirt on the sensors can cause them to form a mind of their own. Might be just worth cleaning each of them with a wet cloth to rule that out.

After that, maybe disconnect them one by one and see if you can isolate the problem. That's if they're accessible of course. I'd hazard a guess too that the entire system will be shut down if it recognises that one is missing.
