Wildhunter sling.POS!! reccomendations for new one

I got a wide widehunter sling last week in the shop in town and brough it home to put it on the .243 only to find that the threading was gone on one of the screws. it would just spring back out and not tighten.

I brought it back and got another one and the exact same thing happened.

on closer inspection the new sling swivels even had rust on them. the screw is very small compared to other slings ive had. maybe only m3 and i noticed as new the screw is even bent.

Brought it back again and im keeping clear of them.

Anyone reccommend a wide sling thats not too expensive. €30-40?

Any links to where they can be got too would be appreciated.

Allen are a good brand. Have two of them. A 3" wide one, and 2" one. Both are padded, non slip. Around the 20 - 25 Euro mark.

Where did you buy them. Had looked at them before but didnt find them anywhere. The wildhunter is an attempt of a copy.

Terrible quality. He took the others off the shelf and is sending them all back.

Could not find them in any shop so ordered them online. Ebay. I use a trusted seller, and usually one in the UK. Quick delivery, no fuss.

They're a great sling. non slip really works even when wet and they provide good padding.

The second one. Reviews seem good for their slings anyway so I'm sure it'll do the job

If you're stuck for sling attachments i think i've a spare set sitting around somewhere. Cannot remember if they come with it or not. You're welcome to them either way.

Bought mine in Duffy's in Galway about four years ago. Wide model leaf tree pattern. Cant fault it,just that it can get a bit "musical":P when the metal attachment hits off my metal forearm on the rifle.

If your money can stretch to one of these i would highly recomend one , they are not cheap but a job for life

Sling arrived and I've gotten out with it twice now for 2 fairly long walks.

Its not as wide as I was looking for but the padding is thick and is very comfortable.

So far Im happy with it and you dont feel the rifle half as much as with previous slings.
