    Hi All

Can an unoccupied house be insured? Advice from somebody in that area would be greatly appreciated.

House unoccupied 365 days a year but i imagine i need insurance to satisfy remaining mortgage term via bank.

Are any special terms attached i.e static guard patrols/visits?

House electric, gas and all services are redundant and not connected. Windows and doors are blocked off with steel panels.

    Cheers

They can be insured, but the price can be high. Some insurers restrict cover like excluding burst pipes cover, theft and/or insisting on it being inspected once a week etc. It's a specialist area but brokers like Aiken & Co., Frost Insurance, Kidd Insurance, Hickey Clarke & Langan do it
