You may need to be more specific...

I did find this, after an exhaustive search.

To be honest, either project would be miles ahead of any ability I have! I'd say your first question would be 'which is available, and has parts available, though'.

Great resto thread here, by the way. Some on there would give you top advice, I'm sure. Also this forum might suit you better. Maybe pm a mod an ask for your thread to be moved?

If it was my choice I'd have an SE5, V6 Essex motor, don't know if they had an overdrive (but well worth it). Electrics, electrics, electrics and rust, it's the same with all English cars of this era.

If you like draylon and lots of vinyl, all the rage at the time, and are handy with fibreglass it's a fun car and one I wouldn't mind having, makes a lovely sound but it would have to have the correct wolf-race alloys tho!!

Plenty of them in the UK awaiting a restoration.

I have one for nearly 5 years and still enjoy driving it everytime I sit in it.

Best place to head is to http://www.scimitarweb.co.uk/sgwrs/

Uk based website but your gonna get lots of info and lots of good cars come up for sale on there.

one of the best I have seen is for sale on DD http://cars.donedeal.ie/vintagecars-for-sale/reliant-scimitar-gte/7872910

If you are looking for a project then Ebay is yer man.

Paint is probably the most expensive part! a perfect finish will be several thousand to get done.

Electrics can give trouble but easily improved and quite simple to fix.
Good selection of spares available except maybe the more obscure interior parts.
